    Funny thing. I was warming up the V65 and when warmed up, hitting some revs. It's impressive to see this engine pass the 11k mark. I do have a question. That driveline "lash" or " clunk". Have you dealt with it? I am having that issue and researching.

    Hey dude I found your channel after looking up V45 videos, your old V45 was definitely a fun looking bike. I'm looking at a '83 V45 Sabre as my very first bike, do you have any advice on what to look for before buying it? Like what's the usual places on the bike to check just to be sure I'm not gonna be sinking more money to fix it after buying it.

    • @mcycleshawn
      @mcycleshawn 5 дней назад

      I often buy parts bikes or expect to put in a ton of work for the deals I get. If I were buying I running, riding bike I would first ask the history and get any info I could from the owner. I should really just make a video on this topic. lol Look for one in the near future. Check the tires for cracks or dry rot. May need tires. Roll the bike manually to see if the brakes catch or rub badly. Check the brake pads. May need brakes. Check the oil. Dirty or specs of metal? May need an oil change or have worn out clutch or engine. Turn the key to accessory and check head light, high beam, horn and turn signals. May need bulbs, fuses or relays. Look all around Engine, fuel tank and lines for drips or wet spots. May need new lines, gaskets or seals. (Check this with it running also) start it up and see how quick it warms up and you can back off choke. Watch exhaust for white smoke. If all that seems good when you start it up listen to the engine. See if it sounds smooth and quiet. Excessive ticking from the top end might lead to a valve adjustment but if it quiets down after a while I wouldn’t be too worried about it. Thats kind of a pain to do. Anyway, that’s a start. lol. If you are riding, see that the clutch engages and disconnects the transmissions and run up through tall the gears without slipping. Notice any hesitation in the power. Enjoy! Any specific questions, send em my way!
